In the last email, (see email 19) I encouraged you to review past material and begin to question how repetitive, negative thinking (aka stinking thinking) impacts our ability to make deliberate movements forward.

I suggested that adjusting our thinking can be one of the most difficult things we ever do, however, the effort is necessary if we are to become the CEO of our lives.

In this email, I am going to continue to address internal dialogue and focus specifically on language.

We need to recognize the importance of the words we choose daily. We need to become aware that we unconsciously use certain words, or variations of them, on a regular basis.

We must begin to question whether these words, and their associations are ones we wish to keep using.


Many people, despite a keen interest in personal development, and/or years of therapy, and bookshelves full of self-help material, continue to use these phrases:

-my anxiety
-my depression
-my addiction

What impact do you think phrases like the above, have over time?

Becoming the CEO of our lives means that we oversee our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It means recognizing that much of how we operate is the result of conditioning and programming.

We become very talented, through the process of rehearsal, of triggering unhelpful states through the careless use of our language.

As you continue to develop greater awareness about how you automatically operate you put yourself in a powerful position to begin to interrupt language patterns that do not serve you.
